Bored of Health at NSM
Led by local veteran singer-songwriter Marc Pinansky, The Bored of Health create an intimate sound that often conjures memories of AM radio and gate-fold vinyl LPs. This trio (Jef Charland on Upright Bass, harmonies, Mike Castellana on electric guitar) applies subtle, tastefully skilled musicianship to a range of original songs that often feel familiar, yet offer something new. While playfully described as Country-folk for city folk, their sound actually covers a wide range of styles, touching on rock, jazz, and Latin. Lyrically turning from sentimental personal journeys to freer, dreamier images and associations, The Bored of Health simultaneously soothe and stimulate the mind, which is the perfect recipe for good health.
