"Pachanga means party - and while not all of the music we do is party music - coming together in convivencia and consciousness is indeed a cause for celebration! "
Pachanga Alert! Performs a festive and lively blend of music from México, Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina & Colombia. Drawing on cumbia, salsa, vallenato, polka and nueva cancion, the ensemble uses lush harmonies and infectious rhythms to bring a fun, modern flair to the rich traditions of Latin American music. In addition to original pieces, the group offers creative arrangements of traditional songs and music by Lila Downs, Silvio Rodriguez, Beny More, Carlos Vives, Jorge Drexler, Mercedes Sosa, and more.
Make it a full night of music with Pachanga Alert!, Salsa Dancing with Yakima Salsa Dancing Co. and tacos!
