Chinatown Business Luncheon Featuring Kim Foxx, Cook County State's Attorney

Join the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce on April 11, 2017, at Lee Wing Wah, to hear from our invited speaker and special guest, Kimberly M. Foxx, Cook County States Attorney speak on public safety and criminal justice reform.
Kimberly M. Foxx is the first African American woman to lead the Cook County States Attorney Office the second largest prosecutors office in the country. Prior to being elected States Attorney, Kim served as Chief of Staff for Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. As President Preckwinkles senior advisor and lead strategist, she oversaw a $4 billion annual budget and worked on issues ranging from county finances to public safety and juvenile detention. Kim was the lead architect of the countys criminal justice reform agenda to address racial disparities in the criminal and juvenile justice systems.
Kim is active with a number of community organizations. She currently serves as a board member for the Adler University, and Free Spirit Media, where she also served as Board President. Previously, Kim has served as board chair of Planned Parenthood of Illinois and president of the National Black Prosecutors Association- Chicago Chapter. She is a member of Leadership Greater Chicago and the Chicago Council of Lawyers.
