Led by PINA certified permaculture educator and designer, Claudia Joseph, students will
Practice the social aspects of permaculture. Learn design skills and biological gardening through hands-on experience. Interact with and observe a landscape designed specifically to survive climate chaos. Increase the dynamic life level - and thus the livability - of a landscape. Understand what makes a landscape useful. Explore stewardship of an undefined public commons. Learning through experience is the goal of this program. Limited to 10 students.
Field Training Field Training at the Old Stone House Gardens Workdays
Eight Tuesdays, 9 am - 1 pm April 18, April 25, May 2, May 16, May 23, June 6, June 13, June 20
Five Saturdays, 9 am - 1 pm April 1, April 8, May 6, May 13, June 3
Students must attend 10 of the 13 sessions to receive a certificate. Field Training sessions will be subject to weather conditions; heavy rains or winds over 20 mph will postpone classes. Make-up days will be on the Wednesday morning following the postponed date.
Limit 10 students.
