The 6
Gable Music Ventures is proud to present our November installment of The 6. We have an astonishing lineup this month.
In Alphabetical order:
Elephants Gerald - http://www.elephants-gerald.com/ Elephants Gerald fuses folk, Americana, gypsy, rock, pop & Appalachian-inspired styles into their music. The duo started the project in Armentieres, France while the two musicians were traveling. A combination of their intent and the experiences from this trip influenced the two to create a sound that is earnest, daring, & proficientwhile it's also lovely endearing & hypnotic. Artful Americana.
Joy Ike - http://www.joyike.com/ Singer/songwriter Joy Ike has found herself in the most unexpected of places living and performing as a full-time touring musician. The the last few years have dealt her some interesting surprises and accomplishmentsincluding being voted Pittsburgh City Paper's "Best Solo Artist" for the fourth year in a row, landing a spot on the Lilith Fair Tour, and scoring a write-up and radio spot on NPR's (National Public Radio) All Things Considered.
Lauren Kuhne - http://www.reverbnation.com/laurenkuhne Lauren Kuhne (pronounced Keenee) is a singer/songwriter from Johnstown, PA now residing in the heart of Wilmington, DE. A corporate techie by day, and a wannabe rocker by night, Lauren is just beginning to make her debut into the Wilmington music scene. She blends soft rock & pop styles paired with smooth vocals to create sets that are engaging, vibrant, and memorable (her fingers are crossed about the 'memorable' part).
Michael Natrin - http://honeybadgerfolk.com/ Michael is one half of the folk/Americana duet from Newark, Delaware, along with Erin Magnin. Imagine Ingrid Michaelson & Regina Spektor singing with Paul Simon and Bob Dylan, except they're stuck in Delaware and have a harmonium, are obsessed with cats, and ride scooters.
Sol Knopf - http://www.solknopf.com/ Sol Knopf is a singer/songwriter from Smyrna, DE. An accomplished guitarist and keyboard player, Sol is known for his soulful voice and hook-driven songs. Influenced by songwriting greats such as Jimmy Webb, Carol King, John Hiatt and Bruce Springsteen...Sol's music is an Adult Contemporary blend of Pop, Rock and Country.
Stewart Lewis - http://www.stewartlewis.com/ Stewart Lewis is a Washington DC based singer songwriter, and novelist. As a performer he has opened for Blues Traveler at Red Rocks Amphitheater, Shawn Colvin, Ani Difranco, Paula Cole, Patty Larkin, and others. He has licensed many songs for TV and film. His latest book is a young adult novel out from Delacorte press.
