The Corners of My Mind
Over 5 million Americans have Alzheimers. One way or the other, Alzheimers disease will touch all of our lives.
In passionate partnership, Canvas and Bettys Foundation offer a heartwarming evening exploring the connection between music and Alzheimers disease.
Neuroscientist Dr. Joshua Grill explains how brains process musical information and how music can be used in the treatment of Alzheimers patients. Letitia Rogers will speak about Music & Memory, a non-profit organization that brings personalized music into the lives of the elderly or infirm through digital music technology, vastly improving quality of life. Host Lynn Hutchinson takes a tour through the musical landmarks of her generation and pays homage to musical contributions made by Alzheimers sufferers.
Join us before the program for light drinks and appetizers.
