CRUISING STEADY: The Music & Friendship of Aretha Franklin and Smokey Robinson
Live in The Living Room is a new concert series brought to you by the producers of Broadway @ W. This new exciting concert series is a platform for upcoming and established singer/songwriters, producers, artists, and many more, at the exquisite W Hotels.
"Live in the Living Room" will take place every Thursday at W Hollywood starting @ 10pm. This hit new series launched in W NY Times Square, and is now returning to the birthplace of Broadway at W...Los Angeles!
PATRICE COVINGTON has been seen all over the globe, belting tunes with all-star Broadway casts of smash hit shows and with her own original music. Her favorite performances include performing alongside American Idols Ruben Studdard in Aint Misbahvin, as Effie in the Broadway National Tour of Dreamgirls, The Book of Mormon, and Motown the Musical. Patrice is honored to have been a part of the Grammy Nominated Broadway cast recording of Aint Misbehavin. Her dynamic presence as been seen on stages in the Bahamas, Japan, France, Turkey, and Germany. In 2012, Patrice was a part of Switzerlands renowned SEAT Music Session where she toured for six weeks performing her original music. It was a special honor especially because she was the only artist from the USA.
Patrice debuted an EP in October of 2011 produced by Chaz Shepherd. Like many R&B and Soul singers, she draws her style and music from real-life experiences. Theres an honesty that comes through her pure and melodic voice. Her music can be heard while youre swiping your credit card in many favorite retail stores and while you wine and dine in restaurants nationwide. Her music is also featured on web-series such as Tony Clomaxs 12 Steps to Recovery and the theme song to Robert Hartwells Broadway Quick Change. Patrice is also the voice featured in numerous national radio voice-overs including McDonalds successful Theres always something new to love at McDonalds campaign. Patrice aspires and inspires with her catchy motto, Dont be a star, be a galaxy, she says... Indeed.
JESSE NAGER is an American actor and singer. He has appeared in Broadway musicals (Mamma Mia, Mary Poppins, Good Vibrations, Scandalous, and Motown) as well as two First National Tours (Xanadu and Motown). Jesse has performed with Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, Jason Mraz, Debbie Gibson and Patti LaBelle. He is a member of the Broadway Inspirational Voices. Nager is the founder and artistic director of The Broadway Boys, a group of New York tenors who incorporate funk, gospel, pop, and rock into traditional showtunes.
Growing up in NYC with Broadway, gospel, classical and pop music genres, Jesse has blended all of his favorite styles of music together to create The Broadway Boys. As a performer, He also toured or played Off-Broadway with XANADU and FAME ON 42ND ST. Jesse worked with Stephen Sondheim on BEING ALIVE, Alan Menken on ALADDIN and LEAP OF FAITH, Frank Wildhorn on WAITING FOR THE MOON, and participated in workshops for Broadways ROCKY: The Musical. Jesse has been seen singing in concerts and on recordings and has provided vocals for many corporate events, parades, and various recordings (including both seasons of NBC's "Smash" and the HAIRSPRAY Movie Soundtrack). His arrangement of "The Star-Spangled Banner" was recently performed at a New York Yankees game. Jesse has performed on The Tony Awards, The View, LIVE With Kelly and Michael, The TODAY Show, Americas Got Talent, and recently performed on The White House 4th of July Celebration. Jesse co-choreographed the Original Broadway Companys FOLLIES Reunion Concert and his Broadway Boys arrangements are now being purchased across the country.
