Merrimans' Playhouse Jazz Performance Series presents Markus Rutz Quintet!

Markus Rutz plays trumpet with bluesy, soulful style and a tone that has been called gorgeous. He composes music from his home base in Chicago, Illinois where he also performs with modern jazz groups, Latin jazz bands and pit orchestras for musical theater. Since 2012 Markus has released two recordings featuring original compositions. On each Markus is joined by great Chicago talent. http://www.markusrutzmusic.com/music.html
