Ballast Point Beer vs. Wine Dinner at Urge Gastropub
Four courses, two candidates, one winner. Two libations enter, one libation leaves. This winner take all event will feature four specially prepared courses that will be paired with both a special wine selection from our friends at The Barrel Room and a special release beer from Ballast Point Brewing Company. In the end, we will tally votes and declare a winner!
1st Course - Baked Potato & Aged Cheddar Soup paired with 2010 Kim Crawford Unoaked Chardonnay and Ballast Point Thai Ginger Wahoo Wheat
2nd Course - Chicken Confit Salad with Gorgonzola, Candied Walnuts and Caramelized Spanish Onion paired with 2011 Beckman Santa Ynez Sauvignon Blanc and Ballast Point Sculpin IPA on Nitro
3rd Course - Duck and Wild Boar Stuffed Quail with a Robust Glaze and paired with 2006 Amalie Robert Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and Ballast Point 2012 Victory at Sea on Nitro
4th Course - Dark Chocolate and Cherry Mousse with Dark Chocolate Shavings paired with 2010 Brochelle Paso Robles Zinfandel and a cask of 2011 Sea Monster with Cocoa Nibs and Cherries
