Effective Agile Mini-Workshop: Deep Dive on the Concepts, Execution and Facilities of the Open Space Meeting Format
(PART 3 of a 3 PART series Pull/Invitation over Imposition/Push!)
Those who attended the first two sessions of this Mini-Workshop now understand that the Open Space meeting format is extremely powerful.
It has the potential to TRANSFORM your teams, your department, your division...your entire organization.
We plan to continue with a very big deep dive on the concepts, execution and facilities of the Open Space meeting format. In this final session we will facilitate more discussion about exactly how to arrange the meeting, with a special focus on doing "pre-work" with executives and highly authorized Sponsors.
The pre-work is very important.
We will also go much deeper on the invitational "opt in, opt out" aspect of Open Space, and it's connection to self-management, self-organization, better results with Agile, and higher performance. We will also focus on how to create proceedings that initiate tangible actions, the key to keeping engagement high.
We are inviting you to participate again. We'll answer all your questions from the experience of the previous sessions, show you how to arrange and execute Open Space events inside your organization, and provide deeper teaching on how Open Space does not actually work unless those invited can actually decline the invite with no negative consequences.
Topics we will cover at the March meeting:
Questions and answers from your direct experience at the February meeting How to arrange Open Space in your organization: The Checklist Executives: authority dynamics and pre-work 3a. Things to watch out for with executives. How to coach them along. Arranging and Executing the Event Proceedings: How to create them, why they are essential Emergent leaders and how executives need to recognize & address them Post-meeting action with executives and emergent leaders
