Glass Fusion Photo Display

Guest artist Donna Smit will teach this fun and creative way to display your favorite photographs. Using several layers of glass each student will create two glass fusion photo art displays using transparent and opaque glass and adding copper wire inclusions. Once fired the copper wire will be wound in swirls and tiny clothes pins will hold the photographs. Students will use murrini glass, frit and bits of dichroic to create these special pieces that are great for gifts, weddings, or keep for themselves. Students will learn what molds are used to slump these pieces and types of kiln coatings. Cost: $60 and limited to 8 students.
