Rand-Randles-Diggins-Dalmolen
The Sanctuary presents an evening of music Saturday, April 8, 2017, with singer-songwriter Joanne Rand, and musicians: violinist Rob Diggins, pianist Tim Randalls and guitarist Piet Dalmolen. Rands 16th CD release will benefit The Sanctuary, dedicated to creative growth through the arts. Doors are at 7:30, show at 8. Refreshments and spirits are available.After 30-plus years of touring, songsmith folk-rocker Joanne Rand is currently releasing her 16th CD, "Roses in the Snow & Drought," and melding with three talented players. They call themselves Rand-Randles-Diggins-Dalmolen, dubbed a "supergroup" at the 2016 Humboldt Folklife Festival. Once voted North Bay Areas Best Acoustic Band, Rand shares her brand of roots music, fiery anthems & stories. Her 15th CD made a folk DJs most-played list nationwide. Rand's quartet, spins its musical web on both recordings, mixed by the gifted producer, Stephen Hart (Santana, David Bowie, Bonnie Raitt, White Stripes, Stevie Ray Vaughn).
