TRANSFIGURED NIGHT
Composed during the height of romanticism, the Transfigured Night (Veklarte Nact), set to the poem by Richard Dehmel depicting an unconditional love of a man whose wife had just confessed that the child she carries is not his.
The Odysseus North Texas Chamber Orchestra is joined by Amiti Perry (Choreographer), with the ae : mp dance company - this performance promises a night of enchantment and intense beauty. Amiti Perry, known for her captivating modern dance choreography promises an evening of beauty in music and dance movement. Come join Maestro Jason Lim for he will present his enlightening thoughts and insights on the music before the performance.
The first half of the concert will include chamber music and solo works choreographed to dance by Amiti Perry and company.
In 2016 the collaboration received rave reviews from critics. Certainly not a performance to be missed.
