Evening @ the Barn - Paramount Pictures 100th Anniversary Celebration
This year marks an exceptional milestone for Paramount Pictures its 100th year in show business. This extraordinary accomplishment makes Paramount one of America's oldest motion picture companies. Today, it is the last major movie studio located in Hollywood. From visionary epics to heart-wrenching romances to blockbuster franchises, Paramount has collaborated with the best talent and filmmakers in the business for a century.
On Wednesday, November 14th at 7:30PM Hollywood Heritage will pay tribute to the studio with a special installment of its popular Evening @ the Barn series. Paramount will provide an overview of its movie-making history and film preservation by showcasing movie footage and artifacts from its archives collection. A panel discussion and visual presentation by the studio's archives team will include film clips, photographs, costume pieces, jewelry and other memorabilia from well-known Paramount movies from the last 100 years.
The event will take place at the famed The Lasky-DeMille Barn, known as the birthplace of Paramount Pictures, where director Cecil B. DeMille produced the first Paramount feature film, "The Squaw Man" in 1913.
