TALES OF BEATRIX POTTER opens March 15 at CTE/TAM Drama: Fun for all ages!!
A charming play adaptation of the beloved stories from Beatrix Potter will be presented at CTE/TAM Drama from March 15-19. Favorites such as The Tale of Peter Rabbit and The Tale of Jemima Puddle Duck along with several of her other stories will be presented. The skillful adaptation of the works is by Adrian Mitchell with an original score by Stephen McNeff by special arrangement with the Potter estate. Thats right, theres music and signing that will appeal to all ages!!
CTEs production is directed by Susan Brashear, one of the TAM Drama teachers, and features a cast of 11 girls and is completely designed by students in the drama program. Guest artist Monica Norcia provides the Music Direction with a delightful score from Mr. McNeff that will have you tapping your toes. Iu Hui Chua, guest artist in movement, creates movement and choreography to support the story telling.
Showtime is at 7:00 PM on March 15, 16, 17 and there are two earlier performances at 5:00 PM on March 18 and 19, especially to encourage younger children and their parents to attend. The Tales of Beatrix Potter is suitable for all ages. Tickets can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets (8 hours before curtain time) or directly at the Box Office one hour before performances begin. Doors open one half hour before performances begin for open seating. Tickets are $12 for Adults and $5 for Students or Senior Citizens. All performances are located in the Daniel Caldwell Theatre at the back of TAMs campus where plenty of parking is available.
