NJW Presents Sory Diabate
Please join us Friday, March 17 for a very special performance by African balafon master Sory Diabate. He'll be joined by an all-star band consisting of Jeff Coffin, Roy "Futureman" Wooten, Jordan Perlson, David Rodgers, David Williford, and Matt Wigton.
Sory Diabate has travelled and performed internationally with musical legends, Grammy winners, and musicians from many cultures of music from around the globe. His music is virtuosic, rooted, soulful, and most decidedly African.

From 1989-1995, Sory studied Balafon, Djembe, Krin, and other native Guinean percussion instruments with his father, Circus Baobab, and Momo Wendel Soumah.
Sory is one of the most amazing musicians I have had the opportunity, and honor, to play with. Hes what we call a special cat! His spirit, passion, and love of making music positively affects everyone in the room and I hope the whole world can experience his brilliance! There will be two sets, beginning at 8pm. Tickets will be $35 for adults / $20 high school and college students with ID. They will be available for advance purchase on Monday, March 6 at 10AM. Tickets may be purchased online on this page, by phone 24/7 at Brown Paper Tickets (800-838-3006), or during daytime business hours at 615-242-5299.
Policies: The Jazz Cave is a BYOB establishment, with no alcohol or food service. You are free to bring alcoholic beverages and snacks. We sell soft drinks and bottled water. The Jazz Cave is a listening room, and we ask patrons to keep conversation to a minimum and silence cell phones. Audio and video recording is prohibited. Ticket sales are final.
Seating is reserved.Seating is a combination of 4-person tables and bar stools. SEE BELOW FOR A VENUE MAP. Parties of less than four may be seated at tables with other patrons.
