NEW WORLD PERFORMANCE LAB PREMIERES THE DEVILS MILK TRILOGY
Three new plays about Akron and rubber at Balch Street Theatre

Akron, OH--New World Performance Laboratory (NWPL) presents the world premiere of The Devils Milk Trilogy, three new plays about Akron and its relation with rubber and the rubber industry. Each part of the trilogy will run for two weeks at The Balch Street Theatre beginning March 30, 2017 through May 21, 2017. Death of a Man: The Devils Milk, Part 1 will perform March 30, 31, April 1, 6, 7, 8 at 8pm and April 2, 9 at 2pm. Goosetown: The Devils Milk, Part 2 will perform April 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 at 8pm and April 23, 30 at 2pm. Industrial Valley: The Devils Milk, Part 3 will perform May 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, at 8pm and May 14, 21 at 2pm. The Balch Street Theatre is located at 220 South Balch Street, Akron Oh, 44302. Tickets are available online and by calling 330-867-3299. Seating is limited. Each performance will be followed by an audience engagement session.

Each part of the trilogy stands on its own as a performance event and takes on a very distinct theatrical form and style, providing a stimulus and forum for a frank discussion about the city and the rubber that shaped it.

NWPL's The Devil's Milk Trilogy is funded in part by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as part of the Knight Akron Arts Challenge. Funding has also been received from The Char and Chuck Fowler Family Foundation, Akron Community Foundation, and Ohio Arts Council.
