Persian Dinner with Foods of NY Tours
THE COST: $40 Includes all food, tax, gratuity. Additional beverages are extra. Ticket price pays for your meal plus a small portion goes to the International Rescue Fund in New York. Details below.
THE FOOD: Iranian/Persian cuisine is one of the oldest and richest cuisines in the world, and is typically vastly different from what is found in other part of the Middle East. And the very best Persian cuisine in NYC can be found at Ravagh, which has been voted CRITICS PICK by NEW YORK MAGAZINE. Join us for a family style meal featuring the finest examples of the cuisine.
THE EVENT: The event will include: A delicious meal - strangers and friends enjoying each others company A donation to support Iranian people who resettle in the USA A short talk from a special guest born in Iran and living in the USA A brief explanation of the special food of this land
WHO WE ARE: This event is part of series by Breaking Bread NYC - a project that is exposing people to the culture and food associated with the people of the 7-country Travel Ban. Breaking Bread NYC is organizing to support people and businesses from those 7 countries and to show strength and solidarity.
Breaking Bread NYC is a project from food tour guides and food lovers aimed at connecting communities through cuisine. We organize dinners, tours, campaigns, and programs to support our neighbors in times of need. It is always easier to understand the unfamiliar when you sit down and break bread together.
