Nevermore- The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe
"Director Ed Rutherford's cast of seven is perfectly attuned to his stylish and stylized direction and Derek Van Barham's choreography." -Hedy Weiss, Chicago Sun-Times
JEFF RECOMMENDED! Edgar Allan Poe's life reads like one of his short stories: an unrelenting tale of misery and woe. His death is also shrouded in mystery. Was he just spectacularly unlucky, or did a supernatural shadow fall over his life? Written and composed by Jonathan Christenson, this Chicago premiere musical weaves fact and fiction into a tapestry of music and poetry.
Black Button Eyes Productions bring this show to life under the direction of their Producing Artistic Director, Ed Rutherford.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Audience members can join us after the Friday, January 19 at 7:30 PM performance for a Prosecco (sorry, we ran out of amontillado!) toast in honor of EDGAR ALLAN POE'S BIRTHDAY!

Is this play for all ages? |
Answer: |
There is no objectionable language or sexual situations, and all violence is stylized. Some parts of the show may be too eerie or spooky for very young children. Thanks! |
