Lasting Impressions Fine Arts Summer Day Camp July 10-13~ 9:00AM-3:00PM~$350 The Impressionist Movement lasted from the 1860s to the 1920s and was marked by a dramatic breaking of tradition. With its focus on nature and symbolism, Impressionism changed art, music, and poetry forever. The Impressionists looked at nature in their own individual ways and today their works are among the most sought after and expensive. A select group of youth entering grades 5-8 will explore Impressionism through a variety of artistic means and will come to know such contributors to this movement as Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cassatt, Debussy, T.S. Eliot, and E.E. Cummings among others. Join other plein air art lovers as we paint to Debussy's Clair de lune (Moonlight) and Nuages (Clouds) and harmonize with nature!
