Burgundy Winemaker's Dinner

In celebration of International Women's Day, this year we're hosting Amélie Berthaut of Domaine Denis Berthaut from the village of Fixin in Burgundy.

Like Amélie herself, her wines combine youthful elegance, purity and honesty. Both the woman and the wine shine brightly and radiate a natural charm. In Amélie's first vintage, she stripped her father's style from the wines, leaving them focused and naked in the glass with very little on but their terroir - a terroir not well understood even for the most practiced of Burgundy drinkers. 2014 is her second vintage at the helm, and she is already turning heads in the Burgundy world.

While maintaining the family's great parcels in Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée, it is in Fixin - a small village with nearly forgotten wines - where Amélie is spearheading a renaissance. The wines of Fixin were once considered fit for French nobles and known, under the right guidance and hand, to possess a similar quality and the same potential as a great Gevrey-Chambertin.

We'll use every seat in the dining room, including the communal tables and the chef's counter. We have room for a couple of larger groups (up to 10 people), too. You can book a table anytime from 5 to 9pm. Hope you can make it!

Price: $105 per person with wine pairings, before tax and gratuity.
