We just picked up Chapel Hill based Sarah Shook & The Disarmers and wanted to see if you have anything available on 3/22 as they head back from SXSW.
The band just officially signed with Bloodshot Records. They will be debuting at BRs SXSW official showcase.
Their newest album, Sidelong drops April 28th via CD, vinyl LP, and digital. Check it out here - https://soundcloud.com/bshq/sets/sarah-shook-the-disarmers/s-gC94V
Also, their song "Keep the Home Fires Burnin'" is now streaming on Pop Matters who writes, "Remember the term insurgent country that was coined to describe hard-driving alternative country? That may as well be this bands main descriptor as the insurgent aspect of the phrase best characterizes their independent spirit.
Rolling Stone named her 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know. Her sound is a sneering fusion of punk-rock autonomy and say-it-like-it-is country from the classic era, paired with a timeless vocal warble and tons of attitude.
Additional links are below. Please let me know if you have any interest. I look forward to discussing this further!
Best, Chris

Sarah Shook & the Disarmers is an old school outlaw country/Americana band with punk tendencies. They are known for killer lyrics and the amazing musicianship of the Disarmers - backing up Sarahs plaintive vocals are lead guitarist Eric Peterson (Flat Duo Jets, the dBs, Matthew Sweet, more); country punk drummer John Howie Jr. (Two Dollar Pistols, John Howie & the Rosewood Bluff); stand up bass player Aaron Oliva (Caitlyn Cary, Nikki Lane); and incomparable pedal steel guitarist Phil Sullivan.

#18 on the Freeform American Roots chart for January 2016 Ranked #2 in The Triangle's 25 best albums of 2015 by The Independent Weekly America has expressed a growing interest in outlaw country upstarts, from the hirsute Chris Stapleton to the metaphysical man Sturgill Simpson. But Sarah Shook's brilliantly written and rendered Sidelong boasts more attitude and aplomb than works by either singer." - Grayson Haver Currin, The Independent Weekly Take Loretta Lynn, Lucinda Williams and a dash of Janis Joplin mix them all up, preferably in a cocktail shaker, and you'll come close to Sarah Shook. Call it Country. Call it Rock. Call it whatever you want, just listen to it. Backed by a strong band with her own songs and lyrics like "I'm drinking water tonight/cuz I drank all the whiskey this morning" from "Dwight Yoakam", this music is as pure as it comes. Makes me wish I was still in North Carolina. I started with a couple of songs and quickly downloaded the rest. You should do the same.
$10 in advance $15 at the door $30 front row VIP $100 hang out in green room with the band and seats on side of stage, if you are not obnoxious. Only two spots.
