WOODY'S ORDER

An entertaining and inspiring solo show written and performed by Broadway veteran Ann Talman, who began her career playing Elizabeth Taylor's daughter, Woody's Order! is based on actual events from an extraordinary life.

Ann was brought into the world when her only-child brother, Woody, a highly intelligent, nonverbal, cerebral palsied eight year old, realized something could happen to Mommy or Daddy and willed his mother to give him a younger sister. Ann was literally ordered by Woody and, heeding the call of her magical birth, embraced the imperative to care for her brother.

As a young child, Ann's parents repeatedly told her, "You have a destiny Miss Ann, to be thy brothers keeper, if anything ever happens to us."

The story centers around Ann's quandary of fulfilling her destiny as Woodys sibling while knowing she also has a duty to follow her heart and fulfill her own destiny. How can Ann remain loyal to Woody's order while also honoring the equally powerful pull to be an actress?
