Glitch Workshop [Glitch Art is Dead: Minneapolis]
[Glitch Art is Dead: Minneapolis]'s Glitch Workshop is a three-day international gathering at Gamut Gallery in Minneapolis, MN - March 17th -19th, 2017 - where presenters, performers and participants will engage in discourse about all things Glitch Art.
Glitch Art is an artistic phenomenon of internet culture. Although its roots go back to the 20th century, it is a nascent artistic movement with a far flung, but significantly sized community. [Glitch Art is Dead: Minneapolis] aims to deny its title, introducing the viewer to a wide spectrum of artwork that shows the vitality of the medium. The Glitch Workshop will take an in-depth look into a variety of glitch art methods and explore topics pertinent to its culture and practice. All three days of the workshop will be held at Gamut Gallery amidst the [Glitch Art is Dead: Minneapolis] exhibition; plus a special after party at Slam Academy in NE Mpls on Saturday night featuring live a/v performances from Mach Fox, BIONIK, PFunkus and more.
