Redwood Curtain by Lanford Wilson
Its the early 1990s in the Northern California town of Arcata. Geri, a 17-year-old Vietnamese-American piano prodigy raised by wealthy adoptive parents, follows a grizzled, homeless vet into the redwood forest where he lives, convinced that he either is or can lead her to the American father who abandoned her in infancy in Saigon.
