ALL SHE EVER WANTED Directed by Errol Geingob, 2012, 15mins Namibia A woman yearns for a baby after suffering a miscarriage.
TRY Directed by Joel Haikali, 2012, 23mins Namibia With a multi-narrative storyline in which Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, is the background, this film exposes us to a world where classy women have sex with thieves on rooftops, ambulances drive away from people who do not have insurance and parents desperately look for money to save their children's lives.
100 BUCKS Directed by Oshosheni Hilleluah, 2012, 24mins Namibia A short film that in a comedic tone deals with the issues of rocky relationships, pie-in-the-sky township schemes and the everyday affair of living, loving and looking for cash in sunny Windhoek, Namibia.
DEAD RIVER Directed by Tim Huebschle, 2012, 34mins Namibia A slice of Namibian history wrapped in the drama of living in a racist society, Dead River is a deep, moving story that offers a message of understanding and reconciliation.
Screening co-sponsored by the Namibian Film Commission. Q&A with filmmakers after the screening followed by a reception.
