Film Screening: Forks Over Knives
18 Reasons is excited to continue our three-part documentary film screening and panel discussion series tackling big food issues.
Our third screening is of the highly buzzed about film Forks Over Knives. The film "examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal-based and processed foods." Some people have gone so far as to claim that this movie will save your life, a bold statement, especially to those who disagree with the film's premise.
Our previous two films touched lightly on the evolutionary history of the modern human diet and now we delve more deeply into the scientific facts of how our diets developed into what we eat now. Following the film we will be joined by an anthropologist and a practicing dietician to give us more insight into the question, "ARE WE MEANT TO EAT MEAT?" Speakers TBD
(Film running time: 90 minutes)
