Fashion & Textile Council Lecture: Killer Heels: The Art and History of the High Heeled Shoe
Lisa Small, Curator of the Brooklyn Museum, explores the history of high heeled shoes, fashion's most provocative accessory. From the platform chopines of 16th-century Italy to the glamorous stilettos on today's runways and red carpets, Small looks at the high-heeled shoe's rich and varied history and its enduring place in our popular imagination.
