Slow Food Kansas City Presents: Brunch at Harvey's at Union Station & The Pompeii Exhibition
Join Slow Food Kansas City for a Sunday Brunch at historical Union Station.
Brunch will be at Harvey's at Union Station. Enjoy a full carving station with prime rib of beef, sugar glazed ham along with a hot buffet selection of scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits and country gravy, French toast, made to order omelettes, bacon and sausage, a Belgium waffle station along with chefs pasta, chilled smoked salmon, fresh fruit displays, peel and eat shrimp along with a dessert bar of fresh danish, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, chocolate fondue, brownies, apple crisp, cakes, cheesecake, bread pudding, breakfast breads and more.
After brunch, guests will be given tickets to the Pompeii Exhibition where you will relive the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and the rediscovery of Pompeii in an all new exhibition.
Travel back in time to the morning in 79 A.D. in Pompeii bustle as a commercial port and experience the life of the doomed residences and how they lived, loved, worked and played. Exhibition features over 200 artifacts never seen before in the United States. This will certainly a wonderful journey through time to the last day of the lost city.
