The Seal Lullabye
The title song Eric Whitacre's "The Seal Lullaby" is a setting in the form of a lullaby for mixed choir and accompaniment of Rudyard Kipling's story "The White Seal". It's is a beautiful story and the opening poem in this story is entitled The Seal Lullaby. The work was commissioned by the Towne Singers and is dedicated to Whitacre's friend and tutor Stephen Schwartz. Other Eric Whitacre pieces we will be singing are "Alleluia", "Fly To Paradise", "Sleep" and others. We will also be singing songs from the movies such as "As Time Goes By", " Over The Rainbow", "Bohemian Rhapsody and others.
This will truly be a concert you won't want to miss.
