"How to Talk Minnesotan: The Winter Musical"
Based on Howard Mohr's 1987 book "How to Talk Minnesotan", this musical will have all you Minnesotans rolling in the aisles! The show takes place at the Lost Walleye Lodge, owned by Ed and Lucy Humde, with help from their daughter Darlene and her boyfriend Russ. Their friends Donny and Miller make up the musical group 'The Muskie Three' and round out the cast. The audience is present at the Lodge for language lessons, where the cast teaches out-of-towners how to talk like a Minnesotan. Patrons will learn useful phrases like 'you bet', 'that's different', and 'whatever'. They will also learn many intricacies of Minnesota culture, such as how to dress for the weather, what to put in your vehicle's winter survival kit, and the importance of lutefisk and Jell-o salad to Minnesota cuisine. Featuring an all-local cast and crew, this show is a sure-fire cure for your cabin fever!
