WE ARE THE UNION, THE SHEDS, HEAR THE SIRENS, URBAN WOLVES & PARKSIDE at Plea for Peace
From Detriot Michigan WE ARE THE UNION(Paper+Plastick), THE SHEDS(Mediaskare), HEAR THE SIRENS(Anchor84), URBAN WOLVES(Final Last Wolves/Kepi the Band) and PARKSIDE performing Live at The Plea for Peace Center 630 E Weber Ave Stockton CA Monday December 3rd 6pm All Ages. SKA and Pop Punk at its BEST.
WE ARE THE UNION- https://www.facebook.com/wearetheunion Unhappy with the current state of ska music, We Are The Union decided to stick out their own necks and tried to change things for the better in the summer of 2005. Getting a paycheck is not on their agenda. Instead of following typical ska punk conventions, WATU takes a harder-nosed approach to the genre. With influences ranging from Philadelphia/New Jersey favorites Lifetime and Kid Dynamite, to bands like Slapstick and This Is A Standoff, they rage with the best of them while still retaining a heightened sense of melody.
THE SHEDS- https://www.facebook.com/thesheds?fref=ts THE SHEDS are a 4-piece outfit hailing from Agoura Hills, California. They play fast, technical punk rock tinged with the grit and intensity of melodic hardcore along with the pop sensibility of 90's ska acts. The Sheds feature three brothers: Mac, Evan, and Morgan Miller, along with close friend Mark Blaker who rounds out the lineup. With their latest release on Mediaskare Records' subsidiary label, Rite of Passage, 'Self/Doubt' further improves upon what the group is quickly becoming known for: the bleak, introspective lyricism of singer Mac Miller, the technical riffing of 16-year-old guitarist Morgan Miller, and the speedy, unorthodox drumming of Mark Blaker. They are currently gearing up to record their anticipated first full length record which is slated for release in early 2013.
