FREE Bellevue College Planetarium Shows
FALL QUARTER SCHEDULE: October 26: 7:00 & 8:30 PM November 23: 7:00 & 8:30 PM December 28: 7:00 & 8:30 PM
ABOUT "Violent Universe": The beauty of a starlit sky conceals the violent forces at work within our universe. From the upheaval of a giant star that explodes to release its material into space, to a future encounter between the Earth and a large asteroid that is too close for comfort, we will witness the forces that hold the universe together and occasionally try to rip it apart.
Join us in the Willard Geer Planetarium at Bellevue College to view the show "Violent Universe" and stay to take a tour of the night sky using our state-of-the-art Digistar 3 planetarium projector.
If the weather is clear, come to the Geer Planetarium (room B244) at 6:30 PM to check out sun spots OR stay late after the 8:30 show to check out the stars in real life on the roof of the B building!**
**These events will be cancelled in the case of clouds, rain, or snow.
TICKETING PROCEDURES:
RESERVED SEATS: Fifty (50) seats for each show will be released on Brown Paper Tickets (this website) ONE WEEK in advance of each show date starting at 8 AM. There is a limit of 5 seats per reservation.

WAIT LIST: If you are unable to reserve tickets online, you may sign up for the wait list outside of the planetarium (Room B244) starting 20 minutes prior to each show. All remaining seats in the planetarium will be given out to those on the wait list on a first-come, first served basis.
This show is not appropriate for kids under the age of six.
No food or drink is allowed in the planetarium.
The Geer Planetarium is located in Room B244 on Bellevue College's Main Campus.
Because the room is dark during the show, there is NO late admission.
The Geer Planetarium at Bellevue College is the only community college planetarium in Washington state. The planetarium's Digistar 3 projector can accurately reproduce the night sky any time of the year or night at any location within 900 light years of the Sun. It can show the stars position in three dimensions, and allow realistic journeys through space.
Free community planetarium shows at the Geer Planetarium are sponsored by the Science and Math Institute (SAMI) at Bellevue College.
