An International favorite in the electronica-dub scene, GAUDI comes to us from Rome, Italy with his fresh chart topping 12th solo album "No Prisoners" released by Six Degrees Records. GAUDI keeps gathering thousands of fans with his infectious, innovative performance style and fat/"bass-driven" tunes. In his unique live show he plays Theremin, Moog, Vocoder, Dub sirens, Tape echoes, Percussion, Vocals and many other instruments. He celebrated his 30 years in music industry with his highly acclaimed 2011 tour in the USA, Europe and Canada where the majority of the gigs were sold out. His previous studio album "Dub Qawwali" (with Sufi legend Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan) reached no. 2 on iTunes USA chart, no. 1 in electronic music on Amazon.com and received a nomination for the World Music Awards. More than 250 are the studio productions and collaborations of this fearless and innovative London based music producer!
Gaudi's innovative approach to live performance and versatility as a producer has kept him at the forefront of his field throughout a notable and prolific career. His music is stylistically hard to pin down as he is an artist in constant evolution. His musical exploration, over the last 30 years in the industry, has however seen him foray into punk, new wave, dub and reggae, world, experimental electronica and 'stuff that rocks dancefloors' he has however got deep roots, which run like a vein throughout his music, and they are in the big basslines and spacious soundscapes of dub and the anarchic sonic potential of the world of electronic music where anything's possible.
He's a full time internationally touring solo artist, a studio producer in demand and a respected musical innovator. He's had chart hits, gold discs and awards & nominations for his work; he has released 12 solo albums, has more than 250 productions and 90 remixes to his name and his tracks feature on more than 120 compilations... There is however no resting on laurels for this London-based, international bass man.

About DJ Mr. Nick: With such a gentlemanly moniker, DJ Mr. Nick is indeed as debonair, courteous, polite, and professional as his name would imply. But he is also so much more. With strong ties to Honolulu's reputable independent music station KTUH, Mr. Nick has become rooted in listeners' brains with his impeccable taste in an eclectic range of music and his expert execution of perfect radio show sets. His popular show, The JET SET, takes you around the musical world on Wednesdays from pm to 9pm on KTUH, and his other show, Bridging the Gap, airs on Saturday nights on HPR2 from 6pm to 8pm. As a nightlife DJ outside of the radio station, Mr. Nick has proven that he can cater to any audience while still keeping true to his style he can introduce esoteric beats to the most discerning of audiences and keep them moving as if they are hearing their favorite song for the first time. From bossa nova to breaks, from to soul to electro, from jazz to house, Mr. Nick can keep nights to a solid theme or mix genres as naturally as peanut butter and jelly. With a humble demeanor, Mr. Nick still commands a presence as strong as his work ethic is unwavering. His personality and skill have secured him DJ residencies at bars at the helm of Chinatown's artful renaissance, such as thirtyninehotel, Bar 35 and Nextdoor. He's played with internationally famous acts Diplo, Dimitri from Paris, Ursula 1000, Fort Knox Five and many more. He's played gigs in Asia and has toured the islands as a top DJ pick for Honolulu's premiere cabaret revue Cherry Blossom Cabaret. A signature way to describe his sets sums up a DJ Mr. Nick experience: he is sure to play something you have never heard before, but will never forget. www.djmrnick.com This concert is a part of The ARTS at Marks Garage LIVE@MARKS Global Electronica Concert Series
