Jubilee Arts 3rd Annual Art Fundraiser featuring Loring Cornish
Enjoy an evening of cool affordable art, great food, music and meet one of Baltimore's most celebrated artists, all while supporting the community work of Jubilee Arts.
The event will feature work by Loring Cornish, Baltimore native and acclaimed visionary artist known for his mosaics. Cornish is a mixed media artist, whose work ranges from small wall hangings to entire building (inside and out)!
Jubilee Arts is a community arts program located on Baltimore's historic Pennsylvania Avenue. In partnership with Baltimore Clayworks, MICA and other area artist and organizations, Jubilee Arts offers affordable quality classes in ceramics, visual arts, creative writing and dance to people of all ages. In addition to classes, Jubilee Arts also facilitates major community art projects including murals and hosts various cultural events including forums, concerts, film screening and more! Jubilee Arts, is working to revitalize its community through the arts and bring back the legacy of this great corridor.
Jubilee Arts is a program of Newborn Holistic Ministries, a community based nonprofit founded in 1996 to serve Baltimore's Sandtown-Winchester and Upton communities. These and the surrounding communities have struggled for many years with major issues related to poverty and Newborn has responded with a mission to preserve and enrich life in these communities by providing services that enable residents to meet their material, social, and spiritual needs.
