Dove Tale: How the first Christmas came together by Ted Swartz, Lee Eshleman & Ingrid De Sanctis
Waypoint Theatre Company presents our annual popular family, Christmas comedy dessert theatre with musical pre-show and audience carol sing-alongs-- Dove Tale playing Nov. 29- Dec. 2 and Dec. 6-9, 2012 at Atria Bell Court Gardens Academy Hall Theatre, 6653 E. Carondelet Drive (ne of St. Joseph's Medical Ctr). The family Christmas reverent comedy features Waypoint regulars Wayne McKinley, Shaylynn Lakser, Tim Carter, Al Baumrucker and Waypoint's artistic director, Melanie David with other Waypoint musical pre-show artists.

Dove Tale's high energy, reverent comedy offers family audiences a creative re-telling of Mary and Joseph's journey from the Announcement to the birth of Jesus-- brimming with tender humor and lots of heart!  From Nazareth to Bethlehem, they encounter some zany characters along the way including a French waiter, 70s lounge singer, an over-earnest wedding photographer, Irish shepherds, crusty innkeeper and Gabriel--the angel in yellow Converse tennis shoes that guides the holy couple throughout their journey.  Audience participation opportunities including wedding bubbles!

Patrons may arrive 1/2 hour prior to the show to enjoy our fun musical pre-show, audience carol sing-alongs and raffles.  Perfect for church/work small groups or family reunions with two great seating options:
