fcdc's Benefit Bash
Join us on April 29th for an evening of food, drink, live music by Jesse C. Dienner, and pop-up dance performances by for change dance collective. Raffle and silent auction prizes include workout class passes, jewelry, wine, gift certificates, and tickets to see HAMILTON in San Francisco!
Early Bird Tickets (before March 29): $25 Buy tickets early and get the opportunity to attend an exclusive pre-show performance and talk-back session with fcdc 30 minutes before the doors open to the public.
General Admission: $35 Includes one raffle ticket.
Proceeds from the Benefit Bash will go towards fcdc's next endeavor: "The Nicaragua Project". We are partnering with Teatro Catalina, a theatre program based in Chinandega, Nicaragua, that seeks to empower youth through theatre and education.
fcdc will travel to Nicaragua and hold workshops with the children of Teatro Catalina and work towards creating a new dance piece using our signature democratic dance-making process. We will be collaborating with composer Nicolas Lell Benavides and Amaranth Quartet to develop original music for this work.
Our goal with "The Nicaragua Project" is two fold: 1) to support and deepen the work Teatro Catalina is already doing with the youth in this community by expanding the program to include dance and music workshops; and 2) to work collaboratively with the participants to develop the material for a dance piece to be performed in Spring of 2018.
If you can't make it to the event but want to support fcdc, please make a donation here!
Help us make "The Nicaragua Project" a reality!
