Story League Contest VA: My 15 Minutes
Location: Busboys and Poets, 4251 S. Campbell Ave, Arlington, VA
Story League Contests now happen in Virginia at the Shirlington location of our partners Busboys and Poets. Come out to support the art of bringing true personal stories to the stage OR throw your name in to win $100 for the best story of the night on the theme "My 15 Minutes: Stories About Being in the Spotlight."
RULES: Our 3 expert judges will consider all story submissions before the contest begins and decide which 9 they most wish to hear. Tellers have a maximum 7 minutes to tell a true, personal story. At 6 minutes you will receive a signal that you only have 1 minute left. No notes or props may be used onstage.
The winner will be announced at the end of the night and will receive $100 cash as a prize. The audience will also select its favorite! The winners of our monthly contests go on to compete in Tournaments where the prize jumps to $250.
