Event
Asylum Improv Jam
Come down to the Theatre Asylum every Thursday night at 10pm. Catch Long Form style improv at its best in a fun, supportive and relaxed environment, brought to you by C.A.F.E. (Combined Art Form Entertainment) and Theatre Asylum. Regular performers from schools such as ACME, Improv Olympic, Second City and Groundlings will keep you in stitches with their unique blend of styles and techniques. The night consists of 3 to 4 sets, each around 25 minutes where anyone who wants to perform will get their chance. Every other Thursday you can catch a set of "Sounds Like a Song" where the players sing along to music and create their very own improvised songs, just like a mini Broadway musical. Whether you want to get up and perform or just sit back and enjoy the show, a mere $5 gets you in the door. If you're thirsty you can grab a drink before you go in. Need a little snack to keep the blood sugar up? You can also purchase a delicious cookie from Freshly-Baked cookie company with exciting flavors like the "The Tutti Frutti Oatgasm" and "Monkey Nut Blast". Great improv, great people, good drinks, good snacks and good times all at a great price...what more could you ask for on a Thursday night? Come on down to the Asylum Improv Jam and join the hottest thing since sliced bread.
