Known since the 1970s for his tenacious reporting,
Woodward in his seventeenth book shows in full detail how and
why today's major issue is still the economy. With access to key political figures of both parties, Woodward spent some eighteen months compiling this nearly blow-by-blow report of how government has handled the fiscal crisis over the last three-and-a-half years.
Mr. Woodward will be in conversation with Dana Priest, an investigative reporter for The Washington Post. She has won numerous awards, including the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for public service for "The Other Walter Reed" and the 2006 Pulitzer for beat reporting for her work on CIA secret prisons and counterterrorism operations overseas. Her most recent book is TOP SECRET AMERICA.
