Little Bang Theory and Laugh, Clown, Laugh
Theatre Gigante presents Little Bang Theory and "Laugh, Clown, Laugh"
TWO NIGHTS ONLY March 3 & 4, 2017 at 7:30pm
Kenilworth 508 Theater 1925 E. Kenilworth Place Milwaukee WI
The cinema comes to life during a screening of Lon Chaney's 1928 romantic tragedy and silent film, "Laugh, Clown, Laugh."
The picture follows the story of Tito, a travelling circus clown as he tours the country and chances upon an abandoned child. Naming her Simonetta, Tito decides to raise the young girl as his own. See what happens when Titos feelings towards Simonetta turn from nurturing to romantic, as emotion becomes a tangled love triangle, revolving around Tito, Simonetta and Luigi, a wealthy man whose loving advances Simonetta rejected years earlier.
The film will be accompanied by an original score, written by composer Frank Pahl, supported by his band Little Bang Theory, as they perform on organ and tiny toy instruments.

"A heart-broken clown and a romantically smitten count meet and join forces to help each other until they discover that they are in love with the same womanTraditionally, silent movies were given live accompaniment by the resident pianist or theater organist of the theatrical venue. What if he replaced the organist with his own trio? The result is an entertaining evening of captivating joyful cacophony. Toledo Blade
"...probably the best silent-film/music program ever presented" Detroit Institute of Arts
"Little Bang Theory as a whole is gorgeous, of a disarming level of complexity, yet so simple at the same time..." Francois Couture / Monsieur Delire
