Teraphim Concerts with Charming Hostess
In Teraphim, ensemble-in-residence, Charming Hostess, will draw upon ancient court music of Egypt and Persia, the temple music of ancient Israel and Assyria, and traditions of Babylonian chants in order to perform a song cycle about women's lived religious practices used for protection and centered on household gods.
The focus of each evening of performance will be:
December 6, 8PM: SongAcknowledgement
December 13, 8PM: ContemplationPursuance
December 20, 8PM: DancePsalm
The month of December will be an eventful and festive one here at the Meridian. We will have Art Installations, Performances, and more.
