Slow Food Foothills Celebration
Sunday, October 28, from 2 6:30 meet the Slow Food Foothills community and celebrate the end of season harvest on LEAP Farm in Mill Spring. This is a fundraiser for Slow Food Foothills and includes the traditional SlowFood potluck dinner with fundraising add-ons for sale like slow-roasted meats, wood-fired breads and pizzas, an extensive local foods harvest sale and local beers and wines. Farm tours and growing tips begin at 2:00 p.m. with the potluck dinner beginning at 4;30. Families, friends, and neighbors gather on picnic blankets in a large meadow under age-old trees overlooking LEAP Farm and under a nearing full-moon. Bring your own place settings, chairs, blankets, and fundraising cash or check!
