Chelsea Berry at the Homegrown Coffeehouse
We are bringing this Homegrown favorite back by popular demand! Chelsea Berry is a singer - songwriter with folk roots and incredible edge, power, and finesse, and she is guaranteed ticketed for the big time. Her presence is compelling - she draws the entire house into her world like moths to a flame. Chelsea has appeared frequently with artists such as Jonathan Edwards, Chris Smither, Cheryl Wheeler, and Patty Larkin, and appears regularly as a featured artist with her mentor Livingston Taylor.
Opening will be Alizon Lissance of Newton, an assistant professor at Berklee College. As you might expect from a Berklee prof, shes a well-rounded musician with decades of experience as a multikeyboard player, vocalist, songwriter, and arranger. She plays with the Love Dogs, and shes an alum of Girls Night Out. Alizon has earned regional and national accolades, ranging from critical acclaim in Musician Magazine to receiving a Boston Music Award as Outstanding Keyboardist. The Homegrown Coffeehouse is located at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, at the corner of Great Plain and Dedham Avenue in Needham center. There is free parking and wheelchair access.
