Stages of Bloom
PTK is proud to announce the World Premiere of STAGES OF BLOOM by award-winning playwright Liz Bussey Fentress!
Sponsored by Lessenberry Do-It Center, in honor of Robert A. Lessenberry, Kight Lumber, Jim and Darlene Johnson and Jim Johnson Nissan Hyundai Directed by Liz Bussey Fentress
Following a troubling experience at church, ninety-year old Edith Jones looks to her award-winning roses for comfort. On a Friday night in September, joined by her hapless yard-man, a rigid brother-in-law, & a young college student & her Marine Corps boyfriend in the backyard of her Victorian-era home, Edith struggles to assemble an entry for her very last rose show. A hybrid tea in perfect exhibition form fails to hold the answers to her hard questions but, come Sunday morning, an enlightened Edith & her newfound friends are all ready to celebrate their own evolving stages of bloom. Directed by Liz Fentress.
March 17-19, 2017, Friday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. (CST)
LATE SEATING Late seating is at the discretion of the House Manager and may not be possible for some performances, especially if you are more than 10 minutes late. If you arrive late, ushers will seat you at the earliest appropriate time during the performance, usually at the end of a scene. Out of respect for the performers and other audience members, you will be asked to wait in the lobby with an usher until the appropriate seating break. If you need to leave a performance early, we ask that you leave at a point in the performance when moving around would be a minimal disturbance to those around you, such as during applause.
LOUD TALKING, CELL PHONES/ELECTRONICS and DISRUPTIONS DURING PERFORMANCES Disruptions are not tolerated. If anyone disturbs the audience or interferes with the performance, the patron will be required to leave with no refund forthcoming.
