Decent Company February: body
Decent Company is a New York-based collective dedicated to the advancement of the theatrical writer/performer. The cornerstone of our work is our eponymous bimonthly showcase, featuring new works written and performed by company members.
February's installment is about BODY. We'll be grappling with the question of our bodies, how we relate to them, and what it all means. In other words: body swaps, 90's VHS workout tapes, Platonic philosophy, ritualistic movement, good-looking people in underwear, and butt stuff. Not necessarily in that order.
This month's writer/performers are:
Mike Axelrod (PROM SUCKS: A LOVE STORY, Decent Company; RESTORATION COMEDY, Flea Theatre) Matt Barbot (FAITH, Decent Company; EL COQUÍ ESPECTACULAR AND THE BOTTLE OF DOOM) Taylor Edelhart (MOUSE, The Brick's Trans Theatre Festival) Cristina Pitter (FEVER, RETURN TO SENDER, and OH, HELLO THERE, Decent Company) Jeremy Rafal (THE BOY FROM BANTAY, FringeNYC) Frank Winters (RETURN TO SENDER, Decent Company; STUDENT BODY, Flea Theatre) Rachel Yong (PORN AT GRANDMA'S HOUSE and DIVER GIRL, Decent Company; 600 Highwaymen)
