What does show-dont-tell mean, and why is it important? What is an inciting incident, and should it happen on page one? What are the tricks to crafting natural dialogue? Bring paper and pen or a laptop and be prepared to write and share your work. Geared toward beginners, but all levels welcome.
About the Instructor: Cristin Bishara is the author of Relativity, a young adult novel, published by Bloomsbury in 2013. It was also released as an audio book and translated into Italian. She has an M.F.A. in creative writing from St. Marys College of California, and a B.A. in English from Kenyon College. Cristin has previously taught fiction writing and composition as an adjunct instructor at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. She now lives and writes in Tampa.
