Grab your "passport" to music and art in Arlington at ACA's Open Studios on Oct. 14, get it stamped by artists there, and bring it to a special St. John's Coffee House benefit concert to raise funds for communities in Puerto Rico, Texas, and Florida, needed to recover from the devastation of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.
This evening of great music features:
** HEADLINER: Frank Drake & Friends. Frank is well known as the founder of The Bagboys, playing a great mix of Americana music including western swing, bluegrass, and roots country. - Alessio Miraglia. A multi-award winning composer and guitarist, performing with his band Matter of Perspective. - Spy Pond Groove. A soulful, swingin, funky-Latin-jazz band from Arlington, sure to get your toes tapping. - Maggie MacPhail (fiddle) and Giulia Haible (cello) of the young celtic sensations, Scottish Fish.
This benefit concert is free, and we ask you to please consider a free will donation of $15+ to benefit those affected by the recent hurricanes, via Episcopal Relief & Development. There will also be drawings for a gift certificate to Not Your Average Joes, free tickets to future concerts at St. John's, plus other swag & giveaways!
