2008 Community Faith Forum
April 23, 2008 8:30 - 1:00 PM St. Vincent Medical Center East Pavilion Conference Center 9205 SW Barnes Rd. Portland, OR 97225 The Inter-Religious Action Network (IAN) of Washington County presents it's 6th Annual Community Faith Forum. This year's topic will be "The Faith Community Confronts Violence". Keynote Speaker: John Lenssen Mr. Lenssen is an Educational Specialist who works and trains in violence prevention, juvenile crime prevention, school climate and student behavior support systems. Following the keynote address participants will attend interactive breakout sessions, which will give information about local programs and discuss ways faith communities can address violence issues in Washington County. The purpose of the Faith Forum is to bring the faith communities together and initiate action on this years topic of concern.
During the interactive workshop sessions participants will learn and discuss ways to engage their faith community about how they can be champions for violence in Washington County. The Inter-Religious Action Network invites people from all faith communities to come together to build respect for our diversity and to provide leadership for the improvement of life in Washington County. Each year, it lives out its mission by sponsoring events such the annual community faith forum.
