Lee Rowley and Friends: Americorps
Every so often, Mojo Dojo Sensei Lee Rowley assembles a crack squad of his favorite improvisers, actors and stand-up comedians for a unique, one-off show, all to benefit a local charity. Come out and support a fantastic non-profit by laughing at some of the funniest folks in Milwaukee.
This month's show is benefiting the Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps members traveling to El Salvador for the Annual Global Village Trip, a civil society program engaging adults in public service work with a goal of "helping others and meeting critical needs in the community." The Americorps members are paid a living stipend, so proceeds will help with trip costs and any remaining money will be donated to the El Salvador Habitat for Humanity affiliate.
It all takes place at Urban Harvest Brewing Company, where they brew hand-crafted ales and lagers in small batches several times a week. This creates a versatile line-up of beers to choose from, as well as adventurous seasonal and specialty brews.
Friends doing improv: Mike Betette Vince Figueroa Brittney Giessel Aaron Kohlbeck Jeff Wheatley-Heckman
Friends doing stand-up: James Boland Tyler Menz
Enjoy a pint or two before, during and after the show!
